Health and Forest School
Across the UK, modern children have fewer opportunities to exercise outside, and are less active than any previous generation. As a result incidences of childhood obesity and related ill-health are rising steadily. The pressures of modern life can make it difficult to give children the opportunity or the motivation to exercise, however.

At Wild Learning Forest School children are physically active most of the time, and their stamina improves as a result. Their experience of using outdoor spaces through Forest School can also develop healthier lifestyles as they ask their parents to take them on trips to woodlands and green spaces. Ast they gain confidence and improve their self-esteem their emotional and mental well-being also improves.
